Delete your HealthClan account
You can delete your HealthClan account and your data at any time. This page explains how, what happens to your data, and what to do if you can’t sign in.
Delete your account in the app
This works the same in the iPhone app, the Android app and the web app.
- Sign in to HealthClan.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Choose Delete account and read what will happen.
- Confirm it’s you by signing in again, then confirm the deletion.
On a computer, open app.healthclan.com/settings. We send an email confirming the request and the date your data will be erased.
What happens next
- Straight away: you’re signed out on every device, and other members can no longer see you, your profile or your habits.
- For 30 days: nothing is erased yet, in case you change your mind. Sign in within 30 days and choose Restore to get everything back as it was.
- After 30 days: your personal data is permanently erased. It can’t be restored, and your email address can be used to start a new, empty account.
Want time away instead? Take a break (also in Settings, then Account) pauses your membership and keeps everything until you come back.
What we delete
- Your name, email address, profile photo, date of birth and profile details
- Your sign-in methods (password, Apple and Google), sessions and devices
- Your habits, routines, schedules, completions, streaks and personal statistics
- Invitations and join requests you sent or received, including their messages
- Your preferences and settings
What we keep, and for how long
None of what we keep identifies you.
- Your share of clan statistics, shown as “Former member”, so the clan’s history stays accurate for the people still in it. Kept for as long as the clan exists.
- Your birth year and the dates you joined and left, without your name or email, so that records other members still hold don’t break. Kept indefinitely.
- Security and audit records that refer to an anonymous account number only.
- Records of emails we sent you, with your address and the subject removed.
- Backups: erased data can remain in our encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, until those backups are replaced.
Child accounts
If you manage child accounts, they’re deleted with yours and follow the same 30 days. Restoring your account restores them too. A child can’t delete their own account. To delete one child account and keep yours, email us at the address below.
Can’t sign in?
Email support@healthclan.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm the request is yours before we schedule the deletion, and the same 30 days then apply.
